All visitors are, in fact, potential Bearers of the Korean Pavilion, activating and making use of the living monument to “Liberation Space.” Those formally named and invited as Bearers simply set the example, embodying a path through the space that is punctuated with ritualistic moments.

Selected via open call in spring of 2026, seven individual Bearers will participate in Liberation Space: Fortress/Nest between May and November, each compiling a record of their experience that will be included in Liberation Space: Reader (2), forthcoming in March 2027.
